Stargazer sculpture that marks gateway to Hamptons not a sight for travelers' sore eyes

The art piece marking the gateway to the Hamptons has not stood up to Mother Nature or to winged destroyers, which have poked holes in the wood, allowing water to penetrate, and a 2020 storm that tore off large sheaths of its signature red covering.
